Details: Camp Fitch ranks as our #1 camping event every year. Celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2014, this beautiful 450-wooded acre campground sits on a mile of Lake Erie shoreline!

  • Think the drive is too far? Carpool with your tribe!
  • Concerned about camping?  Any true camper would consider Fitch "hotel" quality.  The heated lodges are carpeted, include indoor bathrooms/showers, and a play/activity room.

This year, due to popular demand Camp Fitch is offering trail rides of 9 people (rather than 8) at 10:00, 10:45 and 11:30 am on Saturday.

Then after lunch, we are offering 4 horseback riding lessons (8 riders per time slot). Then on Sunday we are offering 3 trail rides of 9 guests per ride.

Pony rides will still be offered for guests under 8!

More information about the new riding lessons:
Lessons include 45 minutes of instruction for 8 participants at a time. Half of the group will spend a portion of the lesson in the barn while the other half of the group rides. Halfway through the experience the two halves will switch. The barn half of the lesson includes some hands on learning about the basics of grooming, tacking, horse parts, breeds etc. While the other half of the experience engages participants in a practical riding experience in the basics of steering, games, walk/ halt/ trot* work (dependent on the rider's ability) all while navigating the horses through an obstacle course.

Bring comfortable walking shoes appropriate for the weather because you will get a lot of exercise this weekend enjoying:
  • 3 meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast in the massive dining hall
  • Arts and crafts
  • Nature Center
  • Canoeing (weather dependent)
  • Dodgeball
  • Basketball
  • Archery
  • BB gun shooting range
