Who we areDifferent than most programs for boys, Native Sons focuses not just on the growth of the young man, but also his relationship with his dad.
Monthly tribe events like hiking, fishing, bowling, and snow sledding, paired with longhouse events like camps, sporting events and overnights on a battleship or in a museum, help bring a father and son closer together. The Western Reserve Native Sons provide a special opportunity for dads and sons to hang out and enjoy a variety of experiences together. As fathers, we don’t get a lot of chances these days to spend quality time with our kids… especially our boys. Different than most programs for boys, Native Sons focuses not just on the growth of the young man, but also his relationship with his dad. Monthly events like camping, hiking, fishing, bowling, and snow sledding can bring together a father and son, even for a short time. Becoming a part of Native Sons really does involve joining a “tribe” in more ways than one. Each dad (Big Brave) and son (Little Brave) is connected with other dads and sons to get to know one another and enjoy each event as a group. But, more than that, boys and men alike become lifelong friends with other Native Sons, creating a “tribe” that can last a lifetime. If you’re considering joining Native Sons, the best thing you can do is to talk with someone who’s involved now. Check out our list of Chiefs or Officers and get in touch with one of them to find out more. |
