Hudson - Cancelled
The city of Hudson, the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary recently announced that the 2020 Memorial Day parade will be cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
Cuyahoga Falls - Rescheduled
Another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic is the annual Memorial Day Parade and ceremony in Cuyahoga Falls.
Parade committee organizer Dave Sebastian said the group has made arrangements with the city to cancel the events planned for the end of May for Labor Day, Sept. 7.
“Our hope is that by then, things will have calmed down with the virus and people will be comfortable to both participate and be on the parade route as we honor those who have given their lives for our freedom and all veterans past and present,” he said.
Those who have already submitted an application to participate on Memorial Day will be contacted to reconfirm participation on Labor Day.
Sebastian said anyone with questions can contact him at 330-923-3201, or dsebastian@ameritech.net
